More about Crystallised Beauty
We blogged earlier about Crystallised Beauty, the music in the Austen Season teaser trailer, and our research attracted the notice of the composer himself! Mr. Phillip Sheppard has kindly provided the links to his official web site and his MySpace Music page, where you can listen to more of his compositions, view his concert schedule, learn about other films in which his music features, and more. Anybody who is interested in getting a copy of Crystallised Beauty may contact him through those sites and he will try to get the track to them if possible.

Mr. Shepherd’s music is so light and refreshing! He didn’t say anything about doing music for the ITV adaptations did he? ITV is just using Crystallised Beauty for the trailer?

I believe his music was used only for the advertising campaign — the trailer and web site. His recent solo cello work can be heard in Hotel Rwanda and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Despina, if you visit Mr. Sheppard’s web sites linked in the post, you can post your request on his MySpace page or email him. He was going to find out if there were some way to make the track available for free download.
