The perfect casting choice for Frank Churchill

Russell Brand!

MTV: Is there any truth to the rumors that you might play Johnny Depp’s brother in the upcoming “Pirates of the Caribbean” sequel?

Brand: I’ve seen some talk about that matter, but I think they’re still writing the script. Nonetheless, I am having a skull and crossbones tattooed on each of my nipples in anticipation of the plotline. I just hope it doesn’t affect my other work in Jane Austen adaptations.

Honestly, he’s perfect.

Hahahaha—genius. Now I’m envisioning what a modern adaptation of Emma would look like in the hands of the Apatow gang. Paul Rudd would have to be Mr. Knightley & I think James Franco would make a great Mr. Elton. Oh goodness, I am going to entertain myself at work thinking about this all day long.

He was supposed to be Wickham in the yet-to-be-seen Jane Austen Handheld, but I had heard that he had dropped out.

LOL. Though I do not like FC very much I do not think he descends to the level that this casting idea does.

Nuria both at JAcastellano and RoP has suggested Jonas Armstrong for the role of FC, and I like it very well, even with my somewhat evil thought that then Lucy Griffiths should play Emma >:). Being serious I would prefer an unknown actress to be given the part.

But the main point still to be pursued in this matter is:

We WANT Richard Armitage as Mr. Knightley!!!!

I have no objection to Richard Armitage as Mr. Knightly as long as Jonas Armstrong is cast in whatever the second most important role is, as he is my favorite and I miss seeing him on the screen sooooo much!
