Tuesday Open Thread: It’s All About Darcy Edition

Filed under: Open Threads, Stage — Mags @ 1:16 am

Welcome to this week’s Tuesday Open Thread, in which we present some of the offbeat or not-quite-on-topic articles that don’t merit a full post but we thought our Gentle Readers would find of interest.

Alert Janeite Laurel Ann sent us a link to a personal ad placed by Guess Who. Smells like marketing to us.

Colin Donnell, who will play Mr. Darcy in the Broadway-bound musical adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, is profiled by his hometown newspaper.

What’s new in your patch of Janeiteville?

Since this is an open thread, I hope it’s okay to ask a question. :-)

Has anyone else read the P&P graphic novel posted online by the artist using the the name ArtGhost? I first learned about it on another website, and then someone posted a link to it here at AustenBlog a year or so ago. Here is a link to the work:

It’s still unfinished, and the artist hasn’t uploaded anything new since June 2007. I think it’s a great project and I’d love to se the rest of it. If ArtGhost ever gets it published, I would certainly enjoy owning it.

Does anyone know who ArtGhost is, and if he/she is still working on P&P, or has finished anything beyond page 22? Thanks!
