Filed under: F.O.J. (Friends of Jane) — Mags @ 1:44 am

Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight Saga series of young adult vampire novels, is a Friend of Jane.

What writers inspire you?
Jane Austen, William Shakespeare, and Orson Scott Card. I can’t go through a year without re-reading Austen.

Harper Lee, author of “To Kill A Mockingbird” — I was reading the wikipedia page on that novel and she said that it was her aspiration to be the Jane Austen of Southern Alabama.

Haven’t read any Meyer, but I like her other two choices as well.

  3. Kylie Says:

Be that as it may, I still can’t stand her Twilight series.

  4. Rosalind Says:

I think Harper Lee approaches a little closer to Jane Austen than Stephanie Meyer.
