I see that Mr. Willoughby is a chicken. This is as it should be.

I do wonder what the “gothics … Eyre” cartoon has to do with Jane Austen, however. (Wait, I’ve got it — Jane Eyre was the author of North-Wuthering Abbey, is that right?) :-p

I’m a bit surprised that there isn’t a post about the new Gaskell adaptation appearing on Masterpiece Theater.

    Re: Gaskell

Well, we haven’t seen it yet in the US; but very much looking forward to doing so tonight.

Ah, I just figured the readers would appreciate an announcement–it is being shown on Masterpiece Theater-check your local PBS stations!

  7. Mags Says:

There’s no announcement because this isn’t GaskellBlog. :-) I certainly think that Jane Austen fans will enjoy it, but I try to keep the blog’s focus on Jane Austen. I have mentioned it in several posts, which is about as much as I feel I can get away with without violating my own rules!

And if anyone wants to talk Gaskell, they can go over to the PBS site for Masterpiece where they have created a forum for Cranford and for all the Masterpiece offerings this year.
