IMNSHO 20th of 26 is too low, they are in my top, but I should not complain since Entertainment Weekly was sensible enough to choose an image from P&P2 :D.

Julie P. I share part of your frustration, I too would have loved to see them, but since it is a pop-culture selection, I am not surprised they did not figure. What astonishes me is that the WH couple didn’t make it to the list (I loath both Catherine and Heathcliff, but I would not have been surprised it they would have been nominated, most of people think they are a romantic couple, I suspect for not having read the entire book and only seen most of the adaptations which are incomplete).

I must say the list is clearly designed by and for Americans, in particular about the TV couples, there are several that not only I do not agree, but that I do not even know about them.
