Persuasion 2007 available on DVD in the Netherlands

Our Dutch correspondent Aad wrote to tell us that Persuasion 2007 will be available on Region 2 DVD with optional Dutch subtitles on November 13. Aad wrote, “I really like their clean, crisp box designs and hope they will continue their Austen editions in this way…” We agree; it is very nicely designed.

(But they need photos of Sir Guh Guy if they want to sell the Robin Hood DVDs. Lots of photos of Sir Guy. Just saying.)

Indeed ! Richard is probably the only good thing in this cheesy adaptation.

Honestly, why else does anyone watch it? I’ve been known to ff through boring scenes of Robin Hood and his merry men, looking for black leather. Though Keith Allen is cracking me up in the most recent episodes. He’s really having way too much fun being evil.

We saw it here tonight, and we were rolling on the floor, howling with laughter. The kiss scene in the end - something else. This adaptation is so funny for all the wrong reasons.
