Darcy sings to you

Filed under: Online, Stage — Mags @ 2:45 am

The composers of “Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice,” Lindsay Warren Baker and Amanda Jacobs, have set up a MySpace page for the play with a few selections from the demo soundtrack. “Fine Eyes,” the first song that will play when you access the page, is sung by Colin Donnell in the part of Darcy; the second, “Not Romantic,” is sung by Jennifer Hope Wills as Elizabeth Catherine Brunell as Jane Austen; and the finale is Colin Donnell, Jennifer Hope Wills as Elizabeth Bennet, Catherine Brunell as Jane Austen, and the rest of the cast. Enjoy!

Jennifer Hope Wills has a lovely voice -sounds somewhat like “Belle” in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”. Bravo!

  2. Austen Fan Says:

Actually “Not Romantic” is sung by Catherine Brunell as Jane Austen and not Jennifer Hope Wills. I saw the reading and they both have lovely voices. The entire cast was fantastic. “Fine Eyes” is a GORGEOUS song.
