Yet More TJABC Clips and Free Screenings

Filed under: The Jane Austen Book Club — Mags @ 9:38 pm

We found a couple of free screenings of TJABC, unfortunately only for Philadelphia and Miami. The Philadelphia screening is Wednesday night. Not sure about the Miami screening.

For the rest of our Gentle Readers, two more clips from the film…

Bernadette and Prudie plan the Book Club

Sylvia is depressed, Jocelyn is cynical, Allegra seems to be searching Martindale (though since when do they put marital status on Martindale?)

ETA: Alert Janeite Julie sent us the link to a short YouTube review. The Actor Who Poses As A Film Critic sez: It’s Not a Chick Flick!

I had to share the YouTube review on my blog because of one hilarious/lovely statement: “It would help us with the ladies.” It’s true, but do guys see that? No, they think Jane is a romance author and they’d risk losing their masculinity if they read her. ;)

OK, so my husband read “Pride & Prejudice” when I suggested it before we were married, but he was willing to read any book and listen to any CD I pushed his way just to get to know me. Sweet, actually. And now I listen to metal not only because he likes it, but it turns out I think some of it’s good as well!

I’ll never get a free screening in tiny Richmond. So I am salivating at the bit.
