Even curiouser, Mark Twain is her first listed friend. You know, mister “any library is a good library that does not contain a volume by Jane Austen. Even if it contains no other book.” Every time I read that quote, I want to dig HIM up and beat HIM over the skull with HIS own shin-bone!
