GREAT news ! I really can’t imagine why the BBC and ITV wouldn’t release any of his work on CD, it’s absolutely gorgeous.

So can I. I understand you could buy it just in UK (although not fair), but I don’t understand why is not edited a very good soundtrack as North & South. It is just edited Virgin Queen in CD, and I don’t know if it is good or not, any opinion?

  3. Franka Says:

Oh I love the N&S soundtrack! :) Very promising for the new S&S!

  4. Rebecca Says:

That’s wonderful! I loved his work on N&S, so I’m really looking forward to this next one!

He also made the beautiful score of ITV’s Persuasion, let’s not forget that. Somebody told me not long ago that ITV might consider the release of a CD with the score of all the three recent adaptations. I have no idea where she got that from and I didn’t keep her name, unfortunately. As I have heard nothing of the sort except from her, I assume that is not true although I really wish it were.

Carmen - you can listen to 4 tracks of the score on YouTube, just search for ” Martin Phipps ” :) Some people used some pieces of it for fan videos.
