What’s old is new again

ITV’s claim that “each generation deserves its own Austen adaptations” apparently did not extend to Emma, since they are bringing up the tail end of their Jane Austen Season with a rebroadcast of the 1996 television film of that novel starring Kate Beckinsale tonight. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out; it’s not terrible. (But Clueless is better.)
