Something for Team Darcy

Earl of Whatever He’s Everywhere! This was hanging above the chair in the private room at the inn where the Editrix took her midday nourishment. Apologies for the quality (or lack thereof) of the photo.

And yes, we did put Darcy in the title of this post. Tee-hee. Remember, we tease because we love!

    I think this is Robert D’Arcy, 4th Earl of Holderness, 1718-1788. The Oxford DNB describes him as “a man of more rank than ability.” Horace Walpole characterised him as “that formal piece of dullness.”
