Wentworth Miller(’s parents): Friends of Jane

Filed under: F.O.J. (Friends of Jane) — Mags @ 12:30 am

Alert Janeite Amanda came across a clip on YouTube of Wentworth Miller, the star of the television show Prison Break, on Ellen. During the interview, he tells Ellen that he was born in England and named after–you guessed it–Captain Wentworth! No clue if Mr. Miller himself is an F.O.J., but clearly his parents are!

  1. Elessar Says:

He actually said in many interviews that he is a Jane Austen fan…In one interview he even named Jane Austen as one of the “historical” figures he’d like to meet, along with the Bronte sisters. He also graduated with a degree in English Lit from Princeton.

  2. Mags Says:

Oh, he just said that to make me like him. (It worked.)

  3. Elessar Says:

He is one of my favorite guys right now because of it ;)

  4. Ashiel Says:

I knew it! ;) I’ve always associate him with our dear captain :D

  5. Julie P. Says:

I’ve never seen this show. I just might have to now.

  6. Kelley B Says:

I’ve always wondered this about his name! I just thought it was wishful thinking. I shall have to take more notice of him now ;)

Oooo…and stardolls.com has a Wentworth Miller doll to dress up. How fortunate! Time to go play…

  7. Zoe Says:

His parents are so cool. If I wasn’t opposed to last name-first names for my own kids, I would totally do something like that. I’m glad he doesn’t resent the name and actually likes Jane.

  8. Paola Says:

Ah, I thought it was already known here or I would have told it! Anyway, it’ not their parents choice, since he’s Wentworth Earl Miller III, so it’s his grandparents’ parents who were F.O.J. And Prison Break rules! Just finished yesterday to watch season 1, impatiently waiting for season 2!
