Captain Wentworth must have purchased some gum at Mullond’s by the look of this! (Seriously, it looks like they are spending some money on this production. Really can’t wait to see it!)

I wasn’t sure at first about the casting but the more I see of the ‘new’ Captain Wentworth the more I’m looking forward to see the movie. I just wonder when it will make its way to Australia.

Susan L - I am of the very same opinion (about it making its way here to Australia). I think it took something like six years for the Kate Beckinsale version of Emma to screen on free to air here (I am in Melbourne), and then it was at the obscure time of Saturday afternoon on a commercial station. Which is why I am developing a deep appreciation of ordering DVDs from overseas. As soon as its available, I shall click away and ask for the SendIt.com fairies to send it to me.

Can you blame her (or him - the bystander, I mean) for being an RPJ fan? He is absolutely gorgeous (even more so) in period costume. I think he looks better here than he even usually does in MI:5 (Spooks). I really am quite really to fall in love with Capt. Wentworth (and Henry Tilney, judging by the looks of JJ Feild). Can wait until the “Jane Austen Season” premieres late next year!

I think being Rupert is so tall helped the camera person as well. This movie is going to be excellent. I wish I could say that same about Mansfield Park. What a mystery that is turning out to be!
The costumes in the new Persuasion are awesome as well. This is exciting!

Some lucky lady gets to stroke Rupert’s mop. The Bath setup looks great. In these JA threes, Persuasion 3 looks a winner !
