AustenBlog Reader Lynne sent us a link to her photo album from a Jane Austen pilgrimage she made to various sites in England, including Chawton Cottage, Winchester Cathedral, and Lyme Park. She got some great photos–check them out!

Ah! I’m planning my own Janeite pilgramige next May and this makes me very excited. I’m planning on going to Lyme Park, Sudbury Hall, Bath, Winchester, and Chawton.

By the way, does anyone know when the construction/restoration on Lyme Park will be completed? I hope it’s not covered in tarps and scaffolding when I go in May!

That’s a lot of places to visit! I hope you pace yourself because that is a lot of distance to cover. I don’t know if Lyme Park will be done by May because the info plaque said that it was a two year (I think) long project and they have to finish the other side too. You could email the national trust (lymepark@nationaltrust.org.uk) to find out.

Gosh. I’m waiting for the results of my university applications (yea, that’s me, going back to uni at the ripe age of 30), and if I get in, that is how my first vacation in England will look like. How beautiful Lyme PArk looks!
