WENN photos has some paparazzi shots of filming of Northanger Abbey 2007. That’s one, TWO men in scarlet coats…hello, Captain Tilney! Hallelujah, he’s been found!
Alert Janeite Heather L, who sent us the link, points out that some of the actors are misidentified in the photos. We are fairly sure that the blonde with the curly hair is Carey Mulligan, who plays Isabella Thorpe, and the actress identified as Carey Mulligan is Catherine Walker, who plays Eleanor Tilney. The other blonde lady with curly hair and the blue parka is, we think, Syvestra LeTouzel (Mrs. Allen).
P.S. Hmm, Tibby’s a bit of all right, isn’t he?
P.P.S. Great costumes!!!! Though Henry REALLY ought to be wearing his Great!Coat on the Walk to Beechen Cliff. It was February, for crying out loud. Mr. Allen wore his to walk to the Pump Room. It’s windy up on that hill!
