“Sense and Sensibility” patterns will be available from Simplicity

Filed under: Merchandise — Mags @ 10:05 pm

Jennie Chancey’s Sense and Sensibility patterns for Regency gowns and undergarments will be available from Simplicity Patterns in the autumn–which means they will be easier than ever for sewers to find and purchase. We do not sew (though we wish we knew how) but have heard many wonderful comments from those who do about these patterns.

Oh, yes, it’s a great pattern! I’ve only made one dress from it but I want to make more in the future. My dress here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v103/MissHoneyBee/Missy%20and%20Family%20Over%20the%20Years/RegencyMelissa4.jpg

Melissa, your gown is gorgeous! I too, wish I’d know how to do it! :)

Mags, the second link is not quite right, is it? :D

Hrmph. It worked last night…try it now.

Lovely photos in those links. La! I just realized that the empire-waisted long “granny dresses” I made and wore back in the day would pass for Regency gowns today. And they were made from Simplicity patterns, too.
