Pride and Prejudice on stage in Austria
Alert Janeite Sylvia wrote to tell us that the amateur theatre group at the university in Klagenfurt, Austria, is putting on a production of Pride and Prejudice on May 9, 10 and 11 (that’s tomorrow–make haste!).
Sylvia pointed out that the same actress (as in female) is portraying Mr. Denny and Colonel Fitzwilliam! But if you get to go, do send us a report.

My brother just emailed me that he will be at Klagenfurt for an exam this week. So I’ll get to go with him on Thursday! Hurray!
And of course I will report everything! Maybe there will be even pictures! *g*
P.S. Women in men’s parts and v.v. indeed! LOL! (What rating does that version of P&P have, btw?)

I was there last night and it was fun! Really liked it…they changed the story a bit here and there but it still was “P&P”
Even the guy who played Mr. Darcy was perfect for the part…didn’t quite expect that so I was really surprised (positively, that is). Shame though that he left out the line “You’re too generous to trifle with me” -> love that line LOL. But nevertheless, I got goose bumps when he declared his love in the end.
They’re playing it again tonight and I can only recommend it to everyone. It really is worth seeing!
