Pemberley Shawl pattern available

Filed under: Online — Mags @ 11:25 pm

For the knitters out there, we happened across a pattern for a “Pemberley Shawl,” which the site says is appropriate for beginning knitters.

The name seems arbitrary, as we are fairly certain that shawls in Jane Austen’s day were made from fabric, not knitted, but it certainly is a very pretty item. Unfortunately the Editrix, though she is an obsessive crocheter, cannot knit to save her life!

ETA: Alert Janeite Stephanie just wrote to let us know that there is an “Elizabeth Bennet” shawl pattern available as well.
