A sliver of hope

Filed under: Screen — Mags @ 10:32 pm

A note in a Playbill notice of a play reading…

David Koteles is a Columbia University playwright graduate, who was recently nominated for a GLAAD Media Award for The Bald Diva, a parody of Ionesco’s Bald Soprano. He is currently working on a screenplay of Jane Austen’s “Mansfield Park.”

Mr. Koteles, the Editrix is always available for beta reading. Just saying. :-)

A new Mansfield Park adaptation? Yippy! Even one set with some of director Joe Wright’s Gritty Realism (TM) would be better than the last one ! Time will tell! :D

  2. Mags Says:

Well, just because he’s writing it doesn’t mean it will get made, but it’s nice to know somebody cares. :-)

  3. JuliaB Says:

yes and he has an easy job too: almost everything will be better than the last one!

  4. Jen Says:

Still it’s always great to hear something Jane is in the works. ;-)

Oh, I do hope he can do something about Edmund - really, if you can make Darcy fence / jump into the pond / walk across the moor / get wet (I mean - in the rain, guys! ;) ) then, surely something can be done about Edmund, right ?
