Special screenings of P&P3

Filed under: Pride and Prejudice (2005) — Mags @ 6:55 am

The Huddersfield Daily Examiner reports that a special screening of P&P3 to benefit charity will be held on September 8 (a week before the film officially opens in the U.K.) at the UCI cinema in Huddersfield. Tickets are £6 and include a pre-show cocktail party.

Alert Janeite Jessica also pointed out a new section on the U.S. P&P3 Web site to obtain information about group screenings. It seems to be directed at school groups that might be studying P&P but doesn’t seem limited to such, so get your friends together and have fun!

In other P&P3 news (sort of), Paul from KeiraWeb.com let us know that a documentary about Pride and Prejudice (the novel) narrated by Donald Sutherland will be shown on the U.K. cable channel Artsworld this Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. (This is not associated with the film; we are fairly certain we heard of this program before and that it was produced years ago.) Also, P&P0 (the one from 1940 with Greer Garson as Lizzy and Laurence Olivier as Darcy) will be shown on the Irish channel TG4 on Tuesday, August 30 at noon.
