Yet more new P&P3 stills

Filed under: Pride and Prejudice (2005) — Mags @ 10:51 pm

Alert Janeites Mandy and Angie both wrote in to tell us about a link they found on the Republic of Pemberley and the IMDB message forums to a German site with some new stills from P&P3. Click on the >>> symbol to navigate through the photo album. Some we have seen, some are new.

Also we forgot (due no doubt to overwhelming jealousy) to pass on the exciting tidbit that PRIDE AND PREJUDICE will be screened at the JASNA AGM in Milwaukee in October. No details yet, but we will be sure to pass them on when we receive them. Thanks to our Janeite Spy who spotted this news on the JASNA Web site. We cannot attend the AGM this year and are slightly jealous, though we hope to see the film a week or two later in the U.K.

I believe number 44 is my favorite.

  2. Sean Says:

Oooh I couldn’t choose a favorite.. For some reason this bunch of pictures made me feel a bit comforted in all the character castings (especially liking Wickham ;)). The only one I’m unsure of is Donald Sutherland; he kind of looks like a drunk, doesn’t he??

  3. Jen Says:

Oh, Darcy is writing a letter! Oh…maybe it’s me, but there’s something quite appealing about any Darcy writing letters. :-)

And I had to giggle at Darcy and Bingley writing horses together…with the way they coordinated the colors of their clothes and their cars…wait, horses, they look like a 19th(wait, 18th?) century version of Brad and George in Ocean’s Eleven. LOL.

  4. Jen Says:

wait….did I write “writing” horses??? Sorry, it must be “riding”…what was I thinking!!!

  5. Liz Says:

Yay!!!! I’m so looking forward to Jane + Bingley’s story too, now that I get to see more of his ‘not-so-goofy’ side ;)

  6. Bridget Says:

ohhh…I like #44 also. And in #21-Bingley definately doesnt look goofy. I like his eyes. :)

Great website, btw! I just stumbled accross it a few days ago, and now it is in my favorites links.

  7. noodles Says:

    bingley is completely gorgeous!
    SO relieved.

  8. Beth Says:

This has to be the most amazing site on the internet! I am hopelessly addicted to austenblog.com….keep up the good work!

  9. Rebekah Says:

    Bingley? Mmmmm, yes please…..
Wickham….his face is very similar to Orlando Bloom

  12. AmandaJ Says:

Lovely lovely pics! Feel much better about Bingley now … and I think Brenda B is going to make a very interesting Mrs B. And I love the pic of Lizzie and the Gairdners sitting on the tree.

  13. Amy P Says:

Yes, #44 is lovely. I like #12 as well; interesting tension between Jane and B. I am infinitely relieved to see pictures of Bingley that don’t make me want to burst into the Howdy Doody song. Sorry, I know that’s cruel, but it’s the truth. ;)

Wickham…his face is very similar to Orlando Bloom

This made me laugh because the first time my older daughter saw a picture of this Wickham she exclaimed, “He looks like an elf!”

  14. Bridget Says:

#12 is such a nice picture of Jane and Bingley.

haha @ Wickham. I think I prefered him with shorter hair. The ponytail doesnt seem him(that is my opinion).

  15. leigh Says:

well.. i think that all of the pictures were lovely [making me want the movie to come out even more..], and i especially liked the picture of matthew mcfadyen with his brooding look on. i do approve of him as darcy. i also thought that wickham suited the part, and also looked very attractive =). i agree with the orlando bloom comparison…i do agree with sean.. donald sutherland does have a sort of druken look about him. but i’m sure he’ll fit the role once he’s on the screen.

  16. Heather Says:

does anyone else think that wickham looks more brooding and serious in these stills, while wickham in P&P2 had that mischeivious, dandy, man about town look? i know these are just stills and i obviously haven’t seen the film yet…

  17. Anonymous Says:

I always imagine Wickham smirking and checking his hair for that perfect tousled curls look! But yes, this Wickham does appear to be very pensive in these stills….

  18. Bridget Says:

My comments were deleted! :( Oh well.

    I love #44…tis a great picture.

Wickham seems very boyish in the stills, unlike P&P2.

I’m happy there are nice pictures of Bingley that dont make him out to be a goof. Gotta like the eyes(on both him and Darcy)
