Is it just me, or does it look as if they’re creating a parallel to the P&P2 cover? With P&P2, Darcy was in the foreground and Lizzy was in the back, and now it’s been reversed. I also have to admit that I don’t like that both of them hardly look anything like the gentry that they’re supposed to be.
But no, we must think positive thoughts . . . think positive thoughts . . . this is going to be harder than I expected.
If I have to see one more picture/shot of “Darcy” looking all disheveled, I think I’m going to break out in hives! The guy should be fastidious, at least most of the time!
Darcy’s chest hair bothers me, too. He’s not a head-banging Heathcliff for crying out loud. I don’t really like Keira’s enormous headshot either, although I do understand she’s the major box-office draw.
For your positive thoughts, here’s another poster which I like much better.
I don’t really care for the original poster.. it’s not so much that I don’t like it. It just doesn’t seem to really fit with the movie. The last thing P&P3 needs is to be sucked into every typical Hollywood movie, and the whole setup just didn’t seem to work. I loved the second poster, though (thanks for the link!).
Does anyone know where the posters could be purchased?
Yes, Darcy’s disheveled look isn’t working for me, especially since it seems most of the P&P promo materials have this image on it. However, the other poster was much better… definetally gave me more of the “Austin vibe”. Thanks for posting it
I think Mathew MacFadyn is a very sexy Mr Darcy! He’s certainly a great reason to get 18 year olds like myself into Jane Austin stories. As regards to his chest hair, i can’t say i noticed it! Too baffled by his hottness!

Leigh, I don’t think they are on sale yet. I’ll keep an eye out, now that I know people are interested.
