Improvements
…which, as every Janeite knows, are a good thing. 
Several things:
- The monthly archive view, which had not displayed a full month of archives since the software upgrade, will now display the full month in ascending order–oldest first. We thought that might be less confusing in the long run.
- The monthly archives list is now accessible by a drop-down menu, since it is getting a little long.
- Headings for the link categories no longer look stupid.
- Links to (new) static pages (About, Contact, etc.)
- Links updated

In related news, July 1 was the first anniversary of AustenBlog! Thanks to all our readers and the active online community of Janeites who have made it occasionally a pain but mostly a joy. We had hoped to celebrate with a new look for the blog, but we have several looming deadlines so must put that off for a bit. (And we hope to always have the “Classic” look available for those who prefer it.)

Has AustenBlog seriously been around for a year?!? Wow, it really doesn’t seem that long. I still think of it as “new.”
Kudos to you on all the improvements! You’ve been busy. Most impressive. Thank you for all the work you put in! I know it’s appreciated by many– myself most definitely included.

Happy Anniversary! I love this place. I may not comment often, but I check in on a regular basis. I get a special kick out of Mags’ droll commentary that accompanies most postings. Thanks to everyone who contributes and for the hard work the administrator(s) do to keep it up and running.
