BRIDGET JONES DVD review

TeenHollywood.com has published a DVD review of BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON. A short review of the movie is followed by a discussion of the DVD’s extras.

The reviewer’s thoughts on the DVD are summarized:

Overall, the movie is enjoyable but earned a few less chuckles than the original. The audio is presented in Dolby digital stereo and good quality wide screen video. The features are neat but nothing extraordinary. It was nice to see the director so involved in the production of the extras and taking the time to introduce each one with a bit of background information and explanation. This movie is definitely worth at least a rental.

Yes, I would say that’s about right.

BRIDGET JONES DVD extra

Netflix has sent me BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON. My advice: If you have seen the movie, it’s still worth renting the DVD to watch the priceless “Bridget Jones interviews Colin Firth” scene, found in the DVD extras. (No comment about the bizarre Extras menu.) Mr. Firth is great fun to watch as he realizes exactly what sort of interview Miss Jones is going to conduct. They’ve updated it from the book, tying his pond scene from LOVE ACTUALLY in with his pond scene in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE.

You can also play, “Spot Renee’s goof,” as Miss Zellwegger makes a humorous gaffe during her interview.
