  1. Cinthia Says:

So the countdown begins! One that I do not see with anticipation but with misgiving.

  2. Mags Says:

Actually, after seeing B&P twice, I’m psyched for it! It’s P&P, how bad can it be?!?

  3. Julie B. Says:

I’m looking forward to it. Just because of it’s length we know it’s not going to encompass all our favorite passages, but I think there will be some really wonderful moments.

  4. Mags Says:

And Dame Judi. Don’t forget Dame Judi–being seriously displeased, yet.

  5. Lisa Says:

Surely Dame Judi will make it worth while, at the very least. I am eager to see Miss Knightley’s performance, too. She seems lively and spirited enough, but surely no one can surpass Jennifer Ehle’s portrayal. I will do my best to enjoy it, despite my misgivings.

  6. Julie B. Says:

How bad can it be? You did see P&P1, didn’t you? ;-)

However, I am quite confident this will be much, much superior to that adaptation.

  7. Lisa Says:

I take it by P&P1 you mean P&P of 1940? Yes I agree that this adaptation will be much better- certainly more true to the spirit of the work.

  8. Mags Says:

I think she meant the miniseries from the late 70s-early 80s. The 1940 version is called P&P0, because they forgot it when making up the numbering system. (Hee!) I rather like that one. That’s why I’m not that worried about liking this new one. Will it be the best? Who knows? But I don’t think it will be bad.

  9. Julie B. Says:

Yes, Mags was right. I do think it will be *much* better than either P&P0 or P&P1.

  10. Sophie Says:

Anyone have any idea about its realese date is Australia?????

  11. Aria Says:

Like everyone else who loves this novel, they would really love to see how Hollywood can produce this story well or not. And as a dear fan to Jane Austen, ‘Pride and Prejudice’ novel, i would really love to see how they make out of it. I am one of those fans who visits this website alot and pardon me for not stating my gratitude for you on working so hard for updates on this P&P3 redaption. Its really nice of you to do this for us and thank you. As an asian, I’m not so sure if they would release it here in Malaysia, but since they did mention that in 2005 Domino is coming to cinema, that might seem possible. If you have any news about it coming to Asia, can you please post it here. Thank you again.

  12. Mags Says:

Hi Aria, the person I get information from works for the company that will distribute the film in the U.S. and Canada only. He doesn’t have any information about Asia, I’m sorry. Your best source of information is probably this page at the Internet Movie Database. If I see an article or anything with the release date in Asia, however, I’ll be sure to post it.
