The Romantic Novelist’s Association, the UK’s only professional writers’ association specializing in romantic fiction, has named Pride and Prejudice as the most romantic novel of all time. Persuasion was No. 7 on the list.

Jenny Haddon of the Romantic Novelists’ Association - who is a successful novelist in her own right - commented, “This is the heartland of romantic fiction and these are novels that have stood the test of time. They are very varied, even the two Austens: Pride and Prejudice is lively and biting, while Persuasion is an achingly honest story of a woman ‘past her first bloom’.

What we want to know is, how the heck is Rebecca a romantic book?
