Review of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE stage production in Lincoln, Nebraska

Filed under: Stage — Mags @ 8:34 pm

The Lincoln Journal-Star has a favorable review of the stage production of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE currently showing at the Haymarket Theatre in Lincoln.

Other notable performances include Brad Boesen, as the Adam Sandler-inspired pastor, Mr. Collins

Adam-Sandler inspired?

Well!

It’s a good thing that Dorothy, the faithful retainer at AustenBlog World Headquarters, added a nip of Tullamore Dew to the Editrix’s Orange Pekoe tonight (just to ward of the evening chill, naturally) or there might have been a Regrettable Incident.

So, did Mr. Sandler get his hands on a time machine or something? If so, I propose that AustenBlog petition him for the use of it immediately!

  2. Deb R. Says:

Was this a musical? Perhaps Mr. Collins sang an ode to Lady Catherine in the manner of Adam Sandler’s homage to the Lunchroom Lady.

  3. Mags Says:

You know, I’d pay to see that.

  4. Adam Sandler Fan Says:

So in NE they get to see Adam Sandler live? Where else will he performe?

  5. Brad Boesen Says:

Yeah, we’re still trying to figure out what she meant by “Adam Sandler inspired” Best guess is it had something to do with my hair style

  6. Mags Says:

Ha! I bet he was fun to play, though. Collins is such a great character.

  7. Brad Boesen Says:

You’re right. He was loads of fun to play (especially the proposal scene where he refuses to take no for an answer)
