BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON premieres in London

The stars of BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON came out for the film’s premiere in London last night (wait a minute, it’s still Tuesday night here…dang time zones). They all had interesting things to say, but fans of Book!Bridget, including the AustenBlog Editrix, might be interested in a quote from the author of the novels, Helen Fielding:

Asked if she would write a third Bridget Jones novel, Fielding said: “To me she hasn’t died - she is still in my head

“If I could do it properly so it had some integrity to it, then I would, but I couldn’t just trot it out.

“To be honest… I would only do it if I had something important to say about her.”

Colin Firth doesn’t know why women found Mr. Darcy’s dip in the lake so sexy.

Firth says, “I know that people did go mad and thought I was some kind of sex symbol, especially when I came out of the lake, but I’d never thought of myself as sexy. I still find it hard to believe.
