Alert AustenBlog Reader Robyn writes to remind us that REGENCY HOUSE PARTY begins tonight at 9 p.m. on PBS in most markets. As always, check your local listings!

    You know, the words “Regency” and “House Party” tend to suggest to me a soused Mr. Hurst and John Thorpe rather than witty repartee at an elegant soiree.

    Anne If you watched Last Nights Episode, that is what was presented as well. I think the title is very fitting for the show that was aired.

    I’d watch that.

    Actually, I read in one of the reviews that they added “Party” this time (instead of just House, as in Colonial House, 1912 House, &c.) because it’s not like those shows in that nobody’s working hard or growing crops or anything like that.
