IMDB: Tom Hollander to play Mr. Collins in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE
Tasha writes to tell us that the Internet Movie Database is listing Tom Hollander as Mr. Collins in the PRIDE AND PREJUDICE cast list. Just as a complete rundown, the rest of the cast includes Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet, Matthew Macfadyen as Darcy, Jena Malone as Lydia Bennet, Rosamund Pike as Jane Bennet, Talulah Riley as Mary Bennet, Brenda Blethyn as Mrs. Bennet, Donald Sutherland as Mr. Bennet and Judi Dench as Lady Catherine DeBourgh. Penelope Wilton and Simon Woods are also listed as cast members without specific roles.
We feel we must point out that the IMDB has been known to post items sent in by hyperactive fans that later turn out to be just rumors or deals that fell apart at the last minute. Alert Janeites will also notice that they spelt Bennett with two Ts (which we credit to aforementioned hyperactive fans). We have not received confirmation from another source about Tom Hollander’s role, but we think he would make a fine Mr. Collins.
