Party on, dude

More on REGENCY HOUSE PARTY, from the Alameda Times-Star:

Sure, they’ve done the slightly naughty “Frontier House” and most recently “Colonial House,” but now they are going full-bore with the MTV-like titled “Regency House Party” in November.

A PBS press release describes it as “a group of 10 modern-day men and women, all genuinely looking for love, (who) get a chance to go back in time.” Set in the Regency period of 1811-1830, “the series thrusts the group into the eternal battle of love versus money.”

The 10 “passion-filled hopefuls” must work within the confines of the social protocols exemplified by Jane Austen’s characters.

PBS seems to think if they just slap Jane Austen’s name on the project, it will give it some class.

Well, it’s bound to be a huge step up from the likes of “Outback Jack”.
