Samsung and Audible have announced that Samsung will begin to ship portable digital audio players preconfigured for Audible services in the U.S. in autumn 2004. Audible’s service includes Jane Austen’s novels in audio format.

The site offers a powerful collection of audiobook best sellers and classics by authors such as [...] Jane Austen.

If you want to get Audible Jane now, there is a list of Audible-ready devices on the Audible.com Web site.

Ch-ch-ch-changes

We’re starting to get hits from search engines and people’s bookmarks, so for those who are keeping track, you’re not going crazy. The name and URI of this weblog have changed. It came to our attention that there was already a weblog called JaneBlog (but with a different mission than this one), so we adjusted.

We also installed our custom weblog design, which we were working on in the Top Secret AustenBlog Testing Laboratories, Ltd. Not so secret, actually, as we had some lovely help and cheerleading from WordPress development folks. (Many thanks!) We will still tweak a few things here and there but it was pretty much ready to go, so no point in waiting.

The official grand opening of the site will take place in a week or so. In the meantime, thank you for visiting! We are glad to have you here.
